What is the difference between ignorant and arrogant

Arrogant coaches are an entirely different problem. Arrogant coaches prefer their players come to them ignorant, so that they exert their will over them. Arrogant coaches easily can be identified based on their insecurities, lack of self awareness and a strong desire to always be right. Intolerance When I was at my worse as a coach, I experienced early stages of success. It was around year five of my career that several of my players signed scholarships and were drafted.

Unknowingly, and because I lacked self awareness, I developed an arrogant and intolerance attitude. I often have intelligent hitters come to me for assessment. Being assessed and taught how to hit are vastly different. Sometimes, all I need to do is to confirm their intelligence about hitting and prescribe drills for them to do until I see them again 90 days later. When I started coaching, Jason Heyward, at age 13, already was an intelligent hitter.

Ignorance can also refer to the lack of education or lack of understanding. Ignorant is the adjective form of ignorance. An individual might willfully ignore something due to his arrogance. In a way, arrogance is also caused by ignorance; the very fact that a person considers himself better and more important than others implies ignorance. Ignorance is the lack of knowledge, information or education.

She is currently reading for a Masters degree in English. There are many reasons why someone can be arrogant, one of which is the edge a person has over other people. Someone can be so empowered with so much knowledge which can be used as an advantage over others.

This power can drive them to be arrogant and look down on others. There are positives and negatives of arrogance which is why they are most times successful in their field. The knowledge they have about their field of practice empowers them to retain the center stage they enjoy even though the relationship with people is not one that is well appreciated by their subordinates. We can agree on the fact that arrogant people have ample knowledge about their abilities, talents, and skills.

Ignorance on the other hand makes you powerless and unable to achieve so many things in life. The main reason why arrogant people act the way they do is because they are always trying to hide something. Their fear drives their actions which remains the need to be the center of attraction. They confuse their boldness with confidence when there is a fine line between these two personalities. Confident people accept their flaws, take responsibility for their failures, learn from them and use the data from these errors to grow.

Arrogant people on the other hand do all they can to hide their inabilities. They refuse to take responsibility for their mistakes, rather, they blame them on someone else. They are proud which is why losing their top positions at a later time sends them into depression.

The negative part of it all is their constant fear of being replaced which keeps them on their toes and always on the lookout for possible threats to their status.
