When is youve been framed repeated
Particular events or behaviour that would not be deemed appropriate for broadcast? Once a clip has been aired, is it ever taken out of circulation, or can it be used indefinitely from that point? In every new episode, every video Harry narrates is brand new to telly — but after those videos have been seen in that episode, they do enter our pool of repeat clips that we recirculate into music packages for future episodes.
Top Shockers, or A-Z of Animals, etc. And of course all the new episodes after first transmission on ITV head over to ITV2 where those shows are repeated forever!
You hate that too? We made an effort to stop doing it in , but every series from is currently transmitting on ITV2 so there is still a lot of blurred date stamps on screen! Helpfully, in new episodes every clip Harry narrates is brand-new and unseen on UK television — and because date stamps are rarely added on modern cameras or smartphones, the problem is going away anyway. Nowadays we receive around 3, videos a week via ITV. But thank goodness the submission numbers are up — as the hit rate in submissions is much lower, as smartphones do miss a lot of the action.
When people filmed on camcorders they would press record and film long continuous takes, so the odds of catching an accident were much higher than nowadays where people tend to film in short abrupt second takes and regularly clip the beginning or end off the action.
But Harry is a genius — he sees the world from a completely unique perspective and continually challenges us to find fresh material that inspires him…. Fortunately as filming technology evolves our viewers help us to do this. We started phasing in phone clips in , but in the packages narrated by Harry are entirely filmed on smartphones, webcams and digital cameras… camcorders are a thing of the past.
As the technology changes, the accidents evolve! I am suspicious of those who manage to keep a straight face when presented with people saying the wrong thing, getting tipsy and wobbling on to lampshades, cycling into rivers or misjudging the friendliness of a passing goat.
His TV Burp was the last truly essential show on the mainstream channels on Saturday nights and much of its tone lives on here. Producers have been trying to put YouTube on television for years, with increasingly desperate and embarrassing results. V anonymity. It did, however, give Beadle a few more years after Beadle's About which can't be a bad thing. This show has just become unwatchable unless you get off on watching people and kids really hurting themselves.
It used to be funny but now all you see is painful stuff. I always end up thinking if they left the clips running for a extra minute there would be a lot of blood and ambulances involved.
Barrnstormer 26 February I used to enjoy watching You've Been Framed. But since it decided to take a leaf out of it's American counterpart shows and introduce a very annoying, far from funny commentary on every single clip, it's become unwatchable for me.
How anybody can say the scripted nonsense that Harry ruins the show with is beyond me. Next thing we know, we'll have stupid sound-effects dubbed over the clips, like when somebody is jumping up and down we have to hear a cartoonish "Boing Boing Boing" sound dubbed on. If you don't know what I'm talking about, take a look at one of the American equivalent shows. Not funny. Complete rubbish. And for the information of other viewers who's comments I've read above, Jeremy Beadle "stopped doing it" and "left" because he had died.
When will it end? You've been framed is way past it's sell-by-date! It used to be funny, but lost it's spark years ago!
It is no longer filmed in front of a live studio audience because people stopped wasting their lives going there. The only reason people watch it now is because of Harry Hill's funny comments, so basically, Harry Hill is saving it from behind axed. It should be re-named "All Fall Down" and aimed at 5-year olds.
I can't wait til Harry Hill leaves You've Been Framed so it will finally be axed, like it should have been years ago.
