On-demand entertainment : Sky Go has a huge collection of on-demand programmes and films to enjoy, ranging from box sets of hit dramas to blockbuster films. Although, bear in mind that what you can access will depend on the TV package you're signed up to. If you're a Sky Go Extra subscriber, you can download catch-up TV, box sets or films to your computer, tablet or smartphone to watch while offline.

All content has a download button next to it, but whether you can actually download it will depend on your Sky TV subscription. You'll also need to have have a wi-fi internet connection to download as this feature doesn't work over 3G or 4G. Multi-screen : As well as enabling you to enjoy Sky TV on the move, Sky Go is neat way to get multi-room entertainment in your home.

If you have Sky on your main TV, you can have Sky Go set up on a laptop or tablet to avoid any arguments over who gets to watch what they want.

Head to the 'On Now' section, which has a useful TV guide covering a range of channels. You can browse what's being shown and if there's a 'watch now' button, then you can stream that programme live over the internet. For long-running shows, there could be multiple series for you to binge to your heart's content.

You'll be asked to sign in to your Sky iD, so enter your username and password. Provided that you haven't run out of device slots, you'll now be able to watch live. If you've upgraded your Sky Account to Sky Go Extra, you can also hit the Download button to save content offline to your phone or tablet. On either Xbox, you have to have Sky Go Extra, or you won't be able to watch anything.

On either Xbox, launch the app and sign in with your Sky ID to start watching. With Sony's console, you also need to have Sky Go Extra. On both devices, log into your Sky iD when prompted to start watching.

Once you've hit your limit of six Sky Go devices, you'll get a warning message when you try and add other devices telling you that you have reached your limit. Most Sky Go apps have a Settings tab where you can manage your devices, but it's often easier just to do it via the website. Next to any current Device, you can click Rename and give your devices more sensible names, if you can't work out what they are.

You can also click Remove you'll get a warning message asking you to confirm the selection to get rid of a device. Offering even more value from the Sky subscription, this will allow customers to watch live linear channels in line with their subscription while on the move in the UK and Ireland.

Sky Go will give customers yet more control and choice over how, when and where they enjoy Sky. Each Sky home will be entitled to register up to two devices, through which they can enjoy access to live channels and selected on-demand content.

On mobile and tablet devices, customers will be able to access all five Sky Sports channels, ESPN and Sky News, with further channels to be added over time.
